ChatGPT connector

Use Dealboard from inside ChatGPT.

Ask about your deals. Move them through stages. Add notes. Render the Pipeline. Pull a PNG of any report. All from the chat, all against your live Dealboard workspace.

Works with ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise.

What you can do from a ChatGPT chat.

A handful of tools, mapped to the actions you already take in Dealboard. No screen scraping, no brittle prompts.

Ask

Pull deals, leads, and pipeline numbers from a chat.

Ask ChatGPT for this week's deals, what's stuck in Proposal Sent, or your weighted pipeline by stage. Dealboard answers from your live workspace, not a stale export.

Update

Move deals, add notes, and triage leads — without leaving ChatGPT.

Log the call you just had, move a deal to Contract in Legal, promote a lead, or mark inbound junk. Every write goes through your scopes and shows up immediately in the app.

Render

Get interactive report cards right in the chat.

Ask about your pipeline, this month, deals won, or deal progress and ChatGPT renders the matching Dealboard card inline — and gets the underlying numbers, so it can answer follow-ups like “how many did I close last quarter?”

Export

Pull a PNG of any report and drop it into a message.

This Month So Far, Active Deals, Deal Progress (chart + table), Deals Won (chart + table), Pipeline — seven reports, one PNG away from your next investor update or weekly recap.

How to connect.

About a minute, end to end. Standard OAuth — sign in, grant scopes, done.

Step 01

Open ChatGPT Settings → Connectors.

In ChatGPT, click your profile, then Settings, then Connectors. Custom MCP connectors are available on ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise.

Step 02

Add Dealboard as a custom connector.

Paste https://app.getdealboard.com/mcp as the connector URL and give it the name "Dealboard."

Step 03

Sign in to your Dealboard workspace.

ChatGPT redirects you to Dealboard. Sign in with your normal credentials — magic link or Google. If you have more than one workspace, pick the one you want ChatGPT to read from.

Step 04

Choose what ChatGPT can see and do.

Grant the scopes you want: deals:read, deals:write, leads:read, leads:write, pipeline:read. Read-only first if you want to try it before letting ChatGPT make changes. You can revoke or re-scope anytime from Dealboard.

Step 05

Ask your first question.

Try "What deals moved this week?" or "Show me my pipeline." The connector picks the right tool, runs it against your workspace, and answers.

Connector URL. Paste this into ChatGPT Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector:
https://app.getdealboard.com/mcp

Scopes you control. Nothing more.

You pick what ChatGPT can do. Start read-only. Add write scopes when you trust it.

deals:read

List, search, and read deals plus their notes and activity.

deals:write

Create deals, update fields, move stages, and add notes.

leads:read

Read inbound leads and their enrichment payloads.

leads:write

Triage leads, promote them to deals, and write enrichment back.

pipeline:read

Read pipeline summaries, weighted pipeline, and report PNGs.

Privacy. Dealboard never sees your ChatGPT conversation history. The connector only receives the arguments to the tools you call. Every action is recorded in your Dealboard activity feed, so you always know what changed. Revoke access from Settings → Connected Apps anytime.

Common questions.

Which ChatGPT plans support custom connectors?

ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise. Free ChatGPT does not currently support custom MCP connectors.

Does Dealboard see my ChatGPT conversation history?

No. ChatGPT only calls Dealboard tools you ask it to call, and the only thing Dealboard receives is the tool arguments — never your chat history or other connector data.

Can I scope ChatGPT to read-only?

Yes. Grant deals:read, leads:read, and pipeline:read and skip the write scopes. ChatGPT will be able to answer questions about your pipeline but will not be able to change anything.

What happens if I revoke access?

Open Dealboard, go to Settings → Connected Apps, and revoke ChatGPT. The next tool call from ChatGPT will fail until you reconnect — no orphan access tokens, no background sync.

Does this work with my team's workspace?

Yes. ChatGPT acts as you. It sees the same deals, leads, and reports you see in the app, with the same role-based permissions.

What if I have multiple Dealboard workspaces?

Pick which workspace to grant when you connect. To switch, disconnect from ChatGPT Settings → Connectors and reconnect against the other workspace.

Better than a spreadsheet. Now in ChatGPT.

Spin up a Dealboard workspace, connect ChatGPT, and run your pipeline from wherever you already work.
